I have not coded *anything* in over 4 years, and the things I coded before that (while working for money) were hardware designs and testbenches in Verilog, Vera, and a little bit of perl. I'm about to start a project with the intent of using C and gtk+.

Way back when there wasn't much in IDE's for vi users. Before I automatically fall back on using my traditional 3-window edit/make/test setup I thought I'd ask if there's an integrated development environment I should be looking at, especially something that would help debug graphical programs.

This is under linux of course.

I still use straight vi(m) for development work. Granted, this is for web programming, which may be more suited to simple, ad hoc testing than what you describe.
