Does anyone still have a YD Minecraft class still active? Peter & Amber's expired "January 29th" but they actually turned off access on January 28th at 9pm. We still needed to watch the last two lessons on how to actually package up the mod and share with friends, and Amber hadn't spent any of her extra code points yet. She was saving them up.

Jon and I were planning to do the last two lessons tonight after the kids were in bed so that we would know how to do it and what they were supposed to do, but they turned it off early. I'm feeling grumpy and angry about it.

Granted, the kids could have been more diligent about finishing, but Amber had actually been making steady progress throughout the year. She'd spend several hours with gimp every time they asked her to design something, and it didn't seem right earlier to rush her. When we warned Peter in early December that he had two months to finish, he gave up trying. That's a different issue.

I have not coded *anything* in over 4 years, and the things I coded before that (while working for money) were hardware designs and testbenches in Verilog, Vera, and a little bit of perl. I'm about to start a project with the intent of using C and gtk+.

Way back when there wasn't much in IDE's for vi users. Before I automatically fall back on using my traditional 3-window edit/make/test setup I thought I'd ask if there's an integrated development environment I should be looking at, especially something that would help debug graphical programs.

This is under linux of course.

Thanks,
