Games! Fun! Party poppers! More games!

Overheard at previous parties:

"Do we have to count it down now? I'm almost done with my turn."

"I have an Atomic Watch which tells precisely the time to the
thousandth of a second."

Join your soul mates and spend the day and night gaming! Kids
will count down the GMT new year at 4:00pm, with a reprise at
Midnight. Let us know if you'd like floor space.
When: Wednesday Dec 31st, 3pm until late
Countdowns: At Midnight GMT (4pm here) and Midnight here
Where: 1264 Albion Ln, Sunnyvale, CA
Who: You! And any friends you would like to invite
What to bring: Side-dish, appetizer, or drinks* to share
RSVP: If you know you'll be here for dinner, an RSVP is
nice but not required. We're doing pizza and
pasta this year for dinner. If no rain is forecast
I'll also do Yummy Meat(TM) on the grill.

* For ringing in the new year, we'll provide sparkling cider,
but if you'd like something stronger, please bring it along
or coordinate with others.

It's almost New Year's Eve, which means it's almost time for the Gamer's New Year's Eve party!! Come game the day and night away with those who say: "Do I have to count down New Year's Eve now, may I take another turn first?"

When: Monday Dec 31st, 3pm until long past midnight
Where: 1264 Albion Ln, Sunnyvale, CA
Who: You! And any friends you would like to invite
What to bring: Side-dish, appetizer, or drinks* to share
RSVP: If you know you'll want yummy meat** for dinner, please RSVP by the 28th. Feel free to show up or bring friends at the last minute anyway, but an order-of-magnitude count is helpful.

Many of the kids are getting old enough to enjoy playing together for extended periods of time, so we'll be starting the party at 3pm for kids, with a GMT 4pm count-down to the New Year. My parents are whisking my kids off to their house for the night at 7, so we'll have several rooms available to put kids to sleep in. Staying overnight is encouraged.

* For ringing in the new year, we'll provide sparkling cider, but if you'd like something stronger, please bring it along or coordinate with others.

** Dinner will be fancy grilled teriyaki shish-ka-bobs and other grilled treats starting at 6pm(ish). We'll also have hotdogs, hamburgers, and grilled cheese. The ovens
will be available if you have a side dish or appetizer you'd like to heat up.

See you soon!!

If you're reading this, you must be unique and a cool person, so we'd love to have you at our Gamer's New Year's eve party:

We are hosting the traditional New Year's Eve gathering of those who say, "Do I have to go upstairs and count down to the New Year? Can't we play one more round first?"

What: Gamer's New Year's Eve Party
When: Monday December 31st 6:00 pm - Tuesday early afternoon
Who: You! and any friends you wish to invite
Where: PB&J Household (*P*eter,*B*eth,*A*mber,*J*on)
1264 Albion Lane
Sunnyvale, CA 94087
408-530-0554
What to bring:
Snacks & Drinks if desired (**see below)
Sleeping bag or blanket if you might stay late.

It's fine to come to our party after your other ones have wound down. Games of Liar's Poker have been known to continue until dawn.

Staying overnight if you don't look safe to drive home is strongly encouraged/mandatory as in other years. In fact, if you stay after 3am, we're making it mandatory because Jon and I need to get some sleep but we wouldn't be good hosts if we let people drive home without a sanity check from a sober friend first. I recommend throwing a sleeping bag in your car for "just in case." The beds are claimed but we have many couches to sleep on.

We'll serve the traditional strawberry & banana crepes and blueberry pancakes on New Year's Day starting around 11 am.

Peter will be spending the night at my wonderful parents house, but Amber will be here for those who need to see some cute 6-month-old baby goodness. Ellie and Alex will be overnighting here. We'll have kid food and kid friendly activities until 8, then more serious gaming the rest of the night.

**Jon and I will provide the usual pizzas/carrots/dip/Sparkling Cider but if you would like something more alcoholic to ring in the new year, plan to bring your own or coordinate with others in advance.

We hope to see you soon! Invite friends! We love meeting new people.
