On Friday night for the first time in this pregnancy I felt little Whats-Its-Name kicking/moving. I awoke at 4 am with gas much as I did tonight and couldn't go back to sleep. I rolled over with an arm beneath me and tried to go back to sleep. That's when I felt it moving, somewhat sloshing and little jerky movements that are much more like fetal movements than gas. It was low down and in the right place.

They say second time moms feel it sooner, and I'd have to agree. I remember seeing Peter on L2 ultrasound and finally coorlateing his little arm wiggles with the gas-like bumps I was feeling on the inside.

W.I.N. is alive! And kicking again now as I write.

Current Location: 15 weeks pregnant today

This afternoon we had a second ultrasound appointment, and I am pleased to report that the baby's heart is still beating! Today the baby was big enough to get a due date, which works out to be June 5th, 2007. 6/5/7 isn't a bad birthday, and in Europe that would be 5/6/7 which is certainly sufficiently geeky.

Of course, babies rarely actually come on their due dates, and my doctor informed us that this one is not allowed to come that day because her daughter is graduating from High School that day. She did however promise me that given how the last delivery went, I can do whatever I want in the L&D room, as long as I don't do it on June 5th.
