Quickening - or, "It's alive!"

beth_leonardOn Friday night for the first time in this pregnancy I felt little Whats-Its-Name kicking/moving. I awoke at 4 am with gas much as I did tonight and couldn't go back to sleep. I rolled over with an arm beneath me and tried to go back to sleep. That's when I felt it moving, somewhat sloshing and little jerky movements that are much more like fetal movements than gas. It was low down and in the right place.
They say second time moms feel it sooner, and I'd have to agree. I remember seeing Peter on L2 ultrasound and finally coorlateing his little arm wiggles with the gas-like bumps I was feeling on the inside.
W.I.N. is alive! And kicking again now as I write.
