Body Count
Jun. 24th, 2012 11:29 pmBody count for today:
Beth: 7.5
Amber: 0.5 (one fruit fly had 2 hit points, Amber and Mommy teamed up on it.)
Peter: 2
Jon: 0
Fly Paper: 6
Jon insists that a body count is not the proper way to analyze which side is winning the war. But I'm sick of these fruit flies. They first showed up about a week ago, and I foolishly just put the fruit they came from in the trash for the night. They've been getting worse every day, but today was by far the worst, leading to upping the arms race with fly paper.
Don't make me bring out the chemical weapons, you dirty flies!

Date: 2012-06-25 07:44 pm (UTC)I am totally grossed out. All the obvious surfaces are now cleaned, and I don't know where they're coming from. I spent 3 hours this morning chasing flies. I hope we can get them all before my parents come to visit on Thursday.
Today's count so far by noon: Beth: 11, Fly Paper: 10.
Luckily they seem more confined to the kitchen today. I keep chasing them until I can't find any more, but every time I leave and return to the kitchen 20 minutes later, there's 3 more waiting for me. I'm really hoping being diligent about it today will help. If I see any tomorrow, I'm going chemical.
