My subconscious is trying to tell me something...

I woke up this morning remembering the dream of last night. I was back in High School, and I'd missed the sign ups for the wrestling team, but a coach found me and convinced me to do shot-put for the track team instead. They said they could work with my schedule and it's ok that not everyone can come to every meet, but they'd really like me on the team and I could help out their score a lot.

...

I've got to figure out how to motivate myself to exercise during the day again. There's a Yoga class at noon I could do. I should give that a try at least.

Usually when I need to exercise, I do better with, what I call, a Malcolm Gladwell trick. In his book Blink, a couple of the essays sort of centered around the idea "you are what you read." I try to read books on physical improvement, or search for articles on the benefits of yoga or bicycling (my preferred forms of motion). After a week or two of reading, I seem to become more active. I know that telling myself over and over (and over!) to get off my butt is ineffective. Butt! :) if I coax myself to read an article at Yoga Journal or some other movement-type site, it, eventually, seems to trick me into motion. Something to try with no real harm.
