Automated phone message

I just got an automated phone message from the CA state auditor reminding me to turn in my application on time. It's almost like they had no idea that's the only thing I've been working on for the last week...

They've also extended the deadline to Monday the 19th at 5pm, so I've got another weekend to work on it, whew!

I've decided to basically chuck & rewrite Essay #1. The other 3 are in pretty good shape though. I'd like to give a shout-out Thank You to steuard and ukelele for the hours and hours they've put in helping me learn to sell myself and to write better. Also, thank you to everyone else who has been helping, but those two have really gone above and beyond the call of duty and I deeply appreciate it.

New Essay #1 coming up soon... it will probably need to be beaten into shape again once I think I'm done with it, but I think it has a better outline and overall feel to it than either of the previous two attempts.
