I don't garden, but I know lots of my friends do, so I thought I'd signal-boost this post from my friend who enjoyed the book, All New Square Foot Gardening: Grow More in Less Space! by Mel Bartholomew.

Liz uses lots of great pictures in her post about getting it all set up. It's almost enough to make me want to garden something this spring. But not quite. ;-)

Pretty tomato cages and grid! We used SFG to set up our raised beds a few years ago. We've got a black walnut tree next door which is toxic to most vegetables we like to grow, so raised beds are our friends. Maybe this year or next we'll go back to intensive square foot gardening. Or maybe we'll stick with our easy tomatoes and herbs. :)
