Metric for counting rolls of fat
Aug. 22nd, 2007 08:34 pmAmber has so many rolls of fat it's hard to keep track. My intuition was telling me that she might have been starting to slim down from "Michelin Man" to merely "chubby baby" but I couldn't quantify it. Until now.
I have developed a metric for counting rolls of baby fat. During a diaper change, I spread her legs and count lines. The center line is '0'. Each line from there counts as one roll, ending at the knees. Peter's knees only have one crease, and there are no others, making him a '1'. Amber's have two at the knee plus 3 more between the knees and the center line on the left, and 2 more on the right.
She used to be 5 on the left and 5 right, but now she's definately down to 5-4, and I think I'll be seeing 4-4 soon as she starts to lengthen a bit in the thigh. She weighs 13 lbs 4 oz and wears size 3 diapers. She'll be 12 weeks old on Friday.
