beth_leonardI'm glad I decided to go to the DMV for a pre-trip before the actual trip to the DMV scheduled by appointment for Friday morning 9:55 am. It took less than an hour and I learned that the most economicly viable way to give my car to my friend (so that she can use it as spare parts for hers) is to "junk" it. On the day that I junk it by surrendering the plates to the DMV they'll give me a 1-day free pass to move it, so with that I can drive it to Fresno.
In other words, despite the fact that I brought an inch of paperwork to the DMV today not knowing what paperwork they'll need, I still didn't bring everything -- I would have needed to bring the plates in as well. I'll do that Friday.
